Lehre

I enjoy teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including introductory mineralogy, petrology and properties of crystalline matter. My advanced courses designed for master students cover magmatic and metamorphic processes, fluid-rock interaction, as well as thermodynamics of geological materials and solid and liquid phases of technical or industrial relevance. In addition, I offer excursions with focus on petrology, orogenic processes and mineral deposits. For industrial applications, I have developed an exploration geochemistry short course, which is run externally abroad. My courses are recommended to students in mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, crystallography or in applied material engineering and/or inorganic and physical chemistry.

As a staff member, I am participating in or co-organizing a variety of seminars and student presentations. Students interested in a thesis topic or an independent project please proceed to the thesis pages (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.).
